At Ridgeway Bowls Club we are experiencing our best year for advancement.
Our committee have worked tirelessly this year and have obtained a grant of £10,000.
This has been spent to purchase a new pavilion which was opened 9th August by Alan Tizard who was the president of the Crown Green Bowling Association in 2008.

An excellent buffet was provided by the members which was enjoyed by all.
In the afternoon a bowling competition was held to celebrate the opening of the new pavilion.
The eventual winners were Roy Pickering and Jan Fenton Local lad Stewart Goodrum and partner were runners up.

Having new facilities has helped to:-
(1) Increase membership by 20%
(2) Having weekly coaching sessions during term time with class four at Ridgeway Primary
School
(3) Form a New Ladies Bowling Team
(4) Offer local school children a holiday Club and teach them how to bowl through
the summer holidays
We are always looking for new members experienced or not All will be made welcome
